The THUMP team had the privilege to present on The Food Ninja Programme to UNDP/UNOPS/UNFPA staff on the 29th of August at the UN Offices in Petaling Jaya. The objective of this meet-up was to provide reportage on the project to the UNDP/UNOPS/UNFPA staff on the engagements that we had, the activities used, the cultural mapping sessions, the outcomes and observations that we came across through-out the whole project. We also got to meet Pik Chuan and Jasson from UNDP.
Will, Kharisma, Amy, Shimy and Samanata talked about the engagements and the outcomes of the programme. They also shared a little on their exchange journey here in Malaysia and how being a part of this 6-week project has given them a window to Malaysian low-cost living conditions. After that, the UNDP staff gave a short introduction on what they do on a daily basis/ It gave the interns an insight on how the UN works as well as a tour of the offices, with Chris guiding us around.
We really enjoyed the trip to the offices thoroughly and we can't thank the Staff Association of UNDP/UNOPS/UNFPA especially Chris for their unwavering support throughout the project as well as for their contribution towards the many engagements. Thank you!
